DESCRIPTION:International Queer Solidarity: Images of Resilience and Hope (I)\nExhibition\n________________\nEvent will be held in Slovene. \nOrganised by: Ljubljana Pride Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Ljubljana \nWe welcome you to the opening event of the art exhibition International Queer Solidarity: Images of Resilience and Hope. With this exhibition we want to stimulate reflection\, awareness and consciousness of the important role of international queer solidarity in the lives of LGBTIQ+ people in the most vulnerable situations and places in Europe and all around the world. It is important for us to create spaces for artistic and cultural expression that give hope even in the face of the harsh realities of war and other forms of oppression faced by LGBTIQ+ communities. We want to create spaces that empower us to continue our struggle and strengthen our collective resilience. \nThe exhibition will be on display until June 29th in the Right Atrium of the Ljubljana City Hall. We also cordially invite you to visit the second part of the exhibition in the Alkatraz Gallery (AKC Metelkova mesto). \n  \nExhibiting artists: Aleksandar Crnogorac (Serbia)\, Katarina Babič Derenda (Slovenia)\, Hassan Dib – Queen of Virginity (Lebanon\, Germany)\, Francesco Giordano (Germany)\, Sandra Grbić (Serbia)\, Edvinas Grinkevičius (Lithuania)\, Oleksandr Halishchuk (Austria)\, Nuka Horvat (Slovenia) and Meta Mežan (Slovenia\, UK). \nCurator: Iris Pokovec

DESCRIPTION:Diverse communities\, one fight\nPress conference________________\nEvent will be held in Slovene. \nAt the press conference\, we will present the political message and the programme of the 2023 Ljubljana Pride Festival. This year\, the festival will explore the topic of international LGBTIQ+ solidarity through the prism of resilience\, survival strategies and mutual support. LGBTIQ+ community is diverse and must live and survive during wars\, poverty\, oppression and at the edge of societal existence. And this is what unites us in a common fight.  \nThe slogan Diverse communities\, one fight thus encompasses the diversity of the LGBTIQ+ communities\, identities and struggles\, as well as calls for international solidarity\, mutual support and a common fight for human dignity everywhere in the world. Through a diverse range of cultural and political events accompanied by local and international guests\, the festival brings a unique perspective on the common struggle for human rights of LGBTIQ+ people. In the fight for freedom\, equality\, diversity\, a safe future\, empowerment and inclusion\, we are led by the hope and awareness that we are stronger together.
