We’re also collecting donations of old cables\, para-cord and small chains. \n🌸 As always\, you may take a product you like home with you\, and the rest will be used to collect donations. DESCRIPTION:Come spend the afternoon with us creating meaningful messages and slogans about the things that truly matter to each of us. \nThis time\, we’ll focus on themes of environment\, sustainability\, nature\, and ecology and explore them together in a creative way. \nWe’ll be working with the method of blackout poetry. By thoughtfully choosing what to erase and what to highlight in an existing text\, we’ll uncover new meanings and unexpected messages. No prior experience is needed\, just curiosity and a willingness to play with words. \nSome of the pieces created during the workshop may later become part of posters displayed in Pride Village on Pride Day\, June 13th\, 2026. \nThere’s no need to register\, just come by! You’re welcome to join at any point during the workshop; we’ll gladly get you started\, and you can work at your own pace. DESCRIPTION:This spring we’re returning with sustainable workshops to share eco approaches and knowledge create attractive products\, that we will offer as merch for donations at the Ljubljana Pride festival 2026. All creative people are invited\, queer or ally! \nThe first workshop on the 11th of March at 17:00 at Dunajska 10\, Ljubljana will be dedicated to expressing queer identity through jewelry. Why buy mass-produced items of dubious origin off the internet\, when we can make it ourselves with leftovers at home? \nIn addition\, the workshop is an opportunity to meet friends and give free rein to your imagination. 🙂 Come and design a bracelet\, necklace or earrings inspired by your favorite pride flag\, or string up a rebellious slogan. The possibilities are endless\, materials and good company are guaranteed. \nIf you have a surplus of beads or other materials for creating jewelry at home\, we’ll gladly accept your donation\,as well as borrow your pliers and similar tools! By renting equipment and using surplus materials\, we avoid purchasing new products and ensure that the workshop is as sustainable as possible.

DESCRIPTION:Access to safe and adequate housing is a fundamental human right\, yet in Ljubljana it is increasingly becoming a privilege. Rents are unreasonably high\, apartments are often inadequate\, and rental conditions exploitative. Meanwhile\, young people and marginalized communities are expected to remain productive\, adaptable\, and keep a smile on their face. \nDay after the International Day of Homelessness\, we are joining forces with Pritličje and Društvo Štikla to present a drag show that casts light on the housing crisis through art. Drag performers\, many of whom know these struggles from personal experience\, will confront the absurdity of today’s housing conditions with humor and a critical point of view – showing what it really means to survive when having a home is anything but guaranteed. \nOn stage: \n\nKarmen Daš – the evening’s hostess\, who knows how to get by without a couch\nProf. Pederik Kunt – with a PhD in terrifying rental contracts\nMiss Sin Kunt – playful and defiant\, laughing at skyrocketing rents\nJohnny Smash – the best neighbor you never had\n\n 11 October\, 19:00\, Pritličje (outdoors between the tables; indoors in case of rain) \nThis event is an artistic protest against the absurdities that shape our living conditions. Drag does not only entertain – it exposes the housing crisis as more than an individual issue. It is a deeply social and political problem\, and one we must speak about loudly and collectively.

DESCRIPTION:Members of the Ljubljana Pride Association team will participate in this year’s ILGA-Europe Annual Conference which will be held in Vilnius between 22nd and 26th October. \nThe ILGA-Europe Annual Conference is Europe’s largest LGBTI conference\, bringing together activists and allies from across Europe and Central Asia to discuss\, strategise\, and strengthen the movement. \nThis year’s theme is Face Forward with a statement: \nWe’re going through challenges unlike anything we’ve seen before\, and so are many other social movements. The world is shifting beneath our feet – democracy is unravelling even in places we thought were stable\, funding streams are drying up\, and anti-rights forces are more emboldened and aggressive than ever. Governments are rolling back fundamental rights\, eroding media freedom\, freedom of assembly\, and\, critically\, the ability of our organisations to operate. Our communities – especially trans people\, intersex people\, racialised people\, and refugees – are facing unprecedented hostility and are further pushed into the centre of divisive public debates. Political hostility is growing\, while institutions and allies we have counted on are retreating or disappearing entirely. \nThe world is changing\, and so are we.

SUMMARY:Job shadowing in Lithuania
DESCRIPTION:Three members of our team will participate in a one-week job shadowing in Lithuania in October\, at our partner organisation\, the Tolerant Youth Association (TJA). This activity represents the next step in our collaboration with TJA\, with whom we have previously worked on the Rainbow Peer Forces project\, within which both organisations began working with the concept of peer education.  During the activity\, we will discuss with the TJA team new possibilities for collaboration\, exchange our experiences with peer educators\, and assess the impact of this work some time after the conclusion of the project. As part of the activity overlaps with the ILGA-Europe Annual Conference\, locally organised by TJA (while Društvo Parada ponosa fulfilled this role for the ILGA conference in 2023 in Ljubljana)\, we will also discuss with their team the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ volunteers in such events\, with a focus on the learning element of the volunteer experience.  We look forward to deepening our collaboration with our partners in Lithuania!  The activity is funded by the European Union.

DESCRIPTION:From September 1st to 3rd\, we welcomed our partner organizations Loesje Berlin and Loesje Bitola to Ljubljana for the latest transnational project meeting “Sex is like a language: No one speaks the same language”. \nAfter the kick-off meeting in Berlin and the training in North Macedonia\, we are meeting in Ljubljana as part of the project to reflect on progress and set a plan for the future. We are also finalizing the toolkit and starting to create a board game on the topic of safe and inclusive sexuality. \nIn the coming months\, we will reveal what we have created!

DESCRIPTION:After a holiday break\, the Pride Parade training team will meet again at the end of August for lively planning of the fall and all the new educational activities that await our members\, supporters and all of you who are interested in LGBTIQ+ topics. \nIn the new school year\, we have a refreshed offer of workshops and activities for schools – including a new module on the topic of sex education. \nWe also received great news from the Ministry of Education\, which for the first time in the 2025-2026 school year is co-financing two KATIS training modules for teachers. \nThe training team has two more big and exciting challenges ahead of them in the next “school” year – preparing educational activities on the topic of climate justice and training for professional workers who support vulnerable LGBTIQ+ young people\, such as young homeless LGBTIQ+ people. \nYou can learn more about educational activities and the work of the trainer pool by regularly following our social networks or through the Paradnik newsletter.

DESCRIPTION:Two of Ljubljana Pride representatives will join the international conference of LGBTIQ+ shelters from all across Europe. It’s the 2nd edition organised by our partner organisation within the SQVOT programme\, Le Refuge from France. \nThe Queer Shelters Initiative brings together LGBTIQ+ shelters from Europe and around the world\, providing them with a unique platform for dialogue about their mission and activities. SUMMARY:ABC about racialised youth
DESCRIPTION:The workshop “ABC on Racialised Youth” takes place as part of the inclusive organisations certification process. It is conducted in Slovene\, with the possibility of parts being held in English due to the participation of a person with lived experience of racism who does not speak Slovene. \nFacilitators: Simona Muršec and Eva Jus. \nIntroduce the participants to the experience of racism by racialised (young) people (living in Slovenia) by building an understanding of what racism is and how it functions. \n\nParticipants will gain a basic understanding of the concept of racism and power relations.\nParticipants will explore dynamics of invisible racism with focus on microaggressions; as well as reflect upon privilege and prejudices in correlation to racism.\nParticipants will gain a deeper understanding of the lived experiences of racism on racialised (young) people (living in Slovenia) and they will reflect their organisational role in creating a more inclusive environment for racialised (young) people.\n\nMembers of the Impro Association\, who are taking part in the inclusive organisations certification process\, will participate in the workshop.

DESCRIPTION:Find our stall at the Happy Day of Volunteering\, learn all about volunteering opportunities\, and grab some rainbow-themed goodies! \nThe Happy Day of Volunteering is the central event of the National Week of Volunteering. This year\, it will take place on 22 May\, from 13:00 to 17:00\, at Prešeren Square in Ljubljana. The event is held under the patronage of the Mayor.  \nAround 85 volunteer organisations from all over Slovenia will present their work at the event. These organisations operate in a wide range of fields – social\, cultural\, environmental\, sustainable development\, humanitarian work\, sports\, youth\, and elderly care – and contribute through their activities to a more inclusive and compassionate society. \nEach year\, around 500 volunteers from across Slovenia and approximately 2\,500 visitors take part in the event.
