DESCRIPTION:At the workshop\, members of various organizations will learn about ways to establish an inclusive organization that advocates for the rights and includes LGBTIQ+ people with intersectional identities. \nBased on examples from their own organizations\, participants will be able to create an action plan for establishing an inclusive and safer environment for employees and volunteers with a focus on their actual needs. \nInclusive Organizations is a project of the Pride Parade Association\, which strives to create safer spaces for employees and connects with companies\, profit and non-profit organizations and helps them plan and implement steps for greater psychological safety of LGBTIQ+ people and people with intersectional identities.

DESCRIPTION:From September 1st to 3rd\, we welcomed our partner organizations Loesje Berlin and Loesje Bitola to Ljubljana for the latest transnational project meeting “Sex is like a language: No one speaks the same language”. \nAfter the kick-off meeting in Berlin and the training in North Macedonia\, we are meeting in Ljubljana as part of the project to reflect on progress and set a plan for the future. We are also finalizing the toolkit and starting to create a board game on the topic of safe and inclusive sexuality. \nIn the coming months\, we will reveal what we have created!

SUMMARY:Trainers' day! Planning New Trainings and Workshops at Pride
DESCRIPTION:After a holiday break\, the Pride Parade training team will meet again at the end of August for lively planning of the fall and all the new educational activities that await our members\, supporters and all of you who are interested in LGBTIQ+ topics. \nIn the new school year\, we have a refreshed offer of workshops and activities for schools – including a new module on the topic of sex education. \nWe also received great news from the Ministry of Education\, which for the first time in the 2025-2026 school year is co-financing two KATIS training modules for teachers. \nThe training team has two more big and exciting challenges ahead of them in the next “school” year – preparing educational activities on the topic of climate justice and training for professional workers who support vulnerable LGBTIQ+ young people\, such as young homeless LGBTIQ+ people. \nYou can learn more about educational activities and the work of the trainer pool by regularly following our social networks or through the Paradnik newsletter.

DESCRIPTION:This seminar will create space for participants working in the field of volunteering to connect\, share experiences\, and learn from one another.\nIt offers a space to explore both the challenges and opportunities that come with supporting LGBTIQ+ volunteers\, especially young people. SUMMARY:Queer Shelters Initiative
DESCRIPTION:Two of Ljubljana Pride representatives will join the international conference of LGBTIQ+ shelters from all across Europe. It’s the 2nd edition organised by our partner organisation within the SQVOT programme\, Le Refuge from France. \nThe Queer Shelters Initiative brings together LGBTIQ+ shelters from Europe and around the world\, providing them with a unique platform for dialogue about their mission and activities. The conference creates a space for exchanging insights on common challenges\, best practices\, and innovations in supporting LGBTIQ+ people experiencing homelessness. \nSimona and Mateja will report back about future international activities of the SQVOT programme and international initiatives coming out of the conference.

SUMMARY:ABC about racialised youth
DESCRIPTION:The workshop “ABC on Racialised Youth” takes place as part of the inclusive organisations certification process. It is conducted in Slovene\, with the possibility of parts being held in English due to the participation of a person with lived experience of racism who does not speak Slovene. \nFacilitators: Simona Muršec and Eva Jus. \nIntroduce the participants to the experience of racism by racialised (young) people (living in Slovenia) by building an understanding of what racism is and how it functions. \n\nParticipants will gain a basic understanding of the concept of racism and power relations.\nParticipants will explore dynamics of invisible racism with focus on microaggressions; as well as reflect upon privilege and prejudices in correlation to racism.\nParticipants will gain a deeper understanding of the lived experiences of racism on racialised (young) people (living in Slovenia) and they will reflect their organisational role in creating a more inclusive environment for racialised (young) people.\n\nMembers of the Impro Association\, who are taking part in the inclusive organisations certification process\, will participate in the workshop.

DESCRIPTION:Find our stall at the Happy Day of Volunteering\, learn all about volunteering opportunities\, and grab some rainbow-themed goodies! \nThe Happy Day of Volunteering is the central event of the National Week of Volunteering. This year\, it will take place on 22 May\, from 13:00 to 17:00\, at Prešeren Square in Ljubljana. The event is held under the patronage of the Mayor.  \nAround 85 volunteer organisations from all over Slovenia will present their work at the event. These organisations operate in a wide range of fields – social\, cultural\, environmental\, sustainable development\, humanitarian work\, sports\, youth\, and elderly care – and contribute through their activities to a more inclusive and compassionate society. \nEach year\, around 500 volunteers from across Slovenia and approximately 2\,500 visitors take part in the event.

The workshop is suitable for employees\, unemployed\, self-employed\, students. We will address questions such as: \n\nHow can I avoid exploitation?\nWhat should every employment contract contain?\nWhat is holiday pay\, Christmas bonus\, 13th salary…?\nWho can I turn to for help in finding a job?\nHow can I ensure my safety and support other LGBTIQ+ people as an LGBTIQ+ person?\nWhat are unions?\nWhat is the difference between a regular and an afternoon s.p.?\n\nYou can register for the workshop HERE. \nYou can also prepare your own questions and we will be happy to answer them at the workshop.
