DESCRIPTION:Since 2015\, the Pride Parade Association has been organising guided LGBT tours for guests of the Pride Parade Festival. Through these tours\, we aim to educate visitors about the history and current state of LGBTIQ+ activism in Ljubljana and Slovenia. DESCRIPTION:The workshop “ABC on Racialised Youth” takes place as part of the inclusive organisations certification process. It is conducted in Slovene\, with the possibility of parts being held in English due to the participation of a person with lived experience of racism who does not speak Slovene. \nFacilitators: Simona Muršec and Eva Jus. \nIntroduce the participants to the experience of racism by racialised (young) people (living in Slovenia) by building an understanding of what racism is and how it functions. \n\nParticipants will gain a basic understanding of the concept of racism and power relations.\nParticipants will explore dynamics of invisible racism with focus on microaggressions; as well as reflect upon privilege and prejudices in correlation to racism.\nParticipants will gain a deeper understanding of the lived experiences of racism on racialised (young) people (living in Slovenia) and they will reflect their organisational role in creating a more inclusive environment for racialised (young) people.\n\nMembers of the Impro Association\, who are taking part in the inclusive organisations certification process\, will participate in the workshop.

DESCRIPTION:Find our stall at the Happy Day of Volunteering\, learn all about volunteering opportunities\, and grab some rainbow-themed goodies! \nThe Happy Day of Volunteering is the central event of the National Week of Volunteering. This year\, it will take place on 22 May\, from 13:00 to 17:00\, at Prešeren Square in Ljubljana. The event is held under the patronage of the Mayor.  \nAround 85 volunteer organisations from all over Slovenia will present their work at the event. These organisations operate in a wide range of fields – social\, cultural\, environmental\, sustainable development\, humanitarian work\, sports\, youth\, and elderly care – and contribute through their activities to a more inclusive and compassionate society. \nEach year\, around 500 volunteers from across Slovenia and approximately 2\,500 visitors take part in the event.

The workshop is suitable for employees\, unemployed\, self-employed\, students. We will address questions such as: \n\nHow can I avoid exploitation?\nWhat should every employment contract contain?\nWhat is holiday pay\, Christmas bonus\, 13th salary…?\nWho can I turn to for help in finding a job?\nHow can I ensure my safety and support other LGBTIQ+ people as an LGBTIQ+ person?\nWhat are unions?\nWhat is the difference between a regular and an afternoon s.p.?\n\nYou can register for the workshop HERE. \nYou can also prepare your own questions and we will be happy to answer them at the workshop. DESCRIPTION:Description: \nOn Monday 24th March Ljubljana Pride will host a skillbuilding workshop on ‘Exploring and Deconstructing Biases in the LGBTIQ+ Community’ \nThe purpose of the workshop will be to explore and understand the concepts of prejudice\, stereotype\, and discrimination\, and to reflect on personal experiences related to these concepts and their connection to the LGBTIQ+ community \nThrough this workshop participants will: \n\n\nUnderstand the definitions of prejudice\, stereotype and discrimination and learn how to differentiate them \n\n\nLearn to identify categories that cause societal divisions and understand their impact \n\n\nReflect on personal experiences of being stereotyped or stereotyping others\, with an emphasis on being part of the LGBTIQ+ community \n\n\nDevelop strategies to counteract biases and promote inclusivity\, with an emphasis on the LGBTIQ+ community \n\n\nThis workshop will be an introduction to this broad topic and no prior knowledge or experience is needed – so everyone is welcome! DESCRIPTION:We are currently in turbulent times\, we are noticing a new rise of homophobia\, hate speech targeting the gay\, lesbian\, bisexual\, trans* and many more queer communities. There is a lot of negative news\, false news and polarizing discourse regarding the LGBTIQ+ community. To start addressing these topics\, find ways to tackle them and create online spaces that are safe\, transparent and hate-free for our community\, we are planning a youth exchange on Cybersafe Spaces. \nWe are inviting you to apply to a youth exchange in Brežice\, where we will be tackling the following topics: \n\n\n\nUnderstanding polarization and the rise of homophobia on digital platforms\nRaising awareness of misinformation and effective responses\nExploring and building (digital) safe spaces\nStrengthening community resilience in the face of digitalization\n\n\n\nYou will also be able to meet and hang out with other Queer people from our Lithuanian\, Romanian and Slovakian partnering organizations\, make new friends and collaborate on creating your community safer. \nIf you have any questions regarding the exchange\, feel free to reach out on our info mail\, on Instagram or at nika.pongrac@ljubljanapride.org. \nApply here!
