DESCRIPTION:We invite you to a symposium on the topic of the position of young LGBTIQ+ people in the Municipality of Ljubljana\, which will take place on Tuesday\, 22 October 2024 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the premises of the City Hall in Ljubljana (Banquet Hall and Club 15). \nThe consultation is intended for all of you who work in the field of youth work\, LGBTIQ+ organisations and local decision makers\, because together we can ensure a more inclusive and supportive environment for LGBTIQ+ young people.\nThe event is an opportunity to jointly explore and deepen the understanding of the needs of LGBTIQ+ young people in the Municipality of Ljubljana and to reflect on the possibilities of including these needs in local policies and structures. \n\nThe second part of the symposium will be dedicated to the presentation of two good practices in the context of addressing the specific needs of LGBTIQ+ youth:\n1. First one will explore\, through the presentation of the concepts of inclusive organizations\, how they contribute to non-discrimination and the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ young people or contribute to the creation of a supportive environment for LGBTIQ+ youth at the local level\, including a perspective on why such approaches are important in youth work in general.\n2. Second part will present the concept of peer education and how it can be used in youth work to empower (LGBTIQ+) young people and how we can support young people in this type of work\, by presenting a concrete mentoring scheme for female peer educators. DESCRIPTION:After a long wait\, we are happy to announce that an exciting period has begun for our association and especially for the group of peer educators – rainbow tutors – in July 2024. \nWe are embarking on a new project – an international strategic partnership on the topic of sex education among young people\, together with great partners already known to us – Loesje e.V. from Berlin and Loesje Bitola from Macedonia. \nBetween July 23 and 26\, part of the team will be in Berlin for the first international project meeting\, where we will outline the work and activities for the future. Above all\, we are happy that we can continue two international trainings\, which will enable rainbow tutors to delve deeper into preparatory activities in the field of general education and LGBTIQ+ topics. \nWe are also looking forward to the fact that after the meetings we will be able to participate in the Dyke March and CSD Berlin – the Berlin Pride Parade! \nThe project is financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program.

DESCRIPTION:IN PRIDE AND SOLIDARITY \nWould you like to hear firsthand in which areas you can contribute to the Ljubljana Pride Association as a volunteer? \nWe invite you to join us on April 16\, 2024\, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the office of the Ljubljana Pride Association\, Dunajska 10\, at an event where we will present the possibilities of joining the European Solidarity Corps program\, as well as this year’s Pride Parade Festival and all the volunteering opportunities we offer at the Ljubljana Pride Association. \nWe will start the event with a two-hour workshop\, which will be followed by a mini online campaign\, in which we will share our experiences with ESE activities and encourage participation in the European Solidarity Corps program and volunteering in general. This will be followed by an exchange of experiences among volunteers\, including current and former members of the association. The talk will also include a presentation of the 2024 Pride Parade Festival and the possibility of short-term ESE volunteering during the Festival. At the end\, we will record short video statements of the volunteers who will be part of the campaign. Join us\, gain new experiences and become part of a community that promotes solidarity and equality!
