SUMMARY:Workshop: About bullying through art
DESCRIPTION:Did you know that more than 40% of LGBTIQ + young people report experiencing violence and/or discrimination based on their sexual orientation/identity? The school is where it happens the most\, the second place is work. Have you seen the experience of schoolmates when they were faced with insulting remarks; failure to respect personal identities/names; verbal or physical attacks; offensive or disrespectful behaviour; threats of disclosure of sexual and/or sexual identity? Or perhaps you are still experiencing bullying at school or mobbing in the workplace? Are they targeting you with hateful comments online? Do you want to talk about these experiences in a safe space through creative approaches? Would you like to persuade other LGBTIQ + young people in a similar situation by sharing their experiences? Do you want to actively engage in violence? \n  \nWe invite everyone who: \n\nidentifies as LGBTIQ +\,\nhas/has had experiences with peer-to-peer violence and online violence\,\nis ready to talk about themselves or express themselves through creative approaches\,\nis ready to participate in 6 shorter workshops (terms and duration to be agreed) between February and June 2019.\n\n  \nJoin creative workshops which will enable you to “talk” about your experiences through creative methods and art\, and persuade other young LGBTIQ + people in a similar situation. \nWe want to create a space with you where we can safely talk about the experience of violence and find different ways to talk about it and present it to the general public. \n  \nAPPLY until 25 January 2019 \nHERE!\nAre you worried that you do not have enough experience with creative methods? \nPrevious experience or artistic expression skills are NOT needed – we support you through workshops! \n  \nWhat we offer: \n\nthe choice between four different artistic areas (illustration\, photography\, poetry and expression through text\, comics/fanzine)\nprofessional support of LGBTIQ + artists\,\npedagogical support of the trainers of Pride Parade association in the process of addressing the experience of violence\,\nthe possibility of exhibiting the works that have been made during the Pride Parade Festival 2019\,\nthe possibility of exhibiting the works in schools and in youth centres around Slovenia\,\nreimbursement of the cost of participating in workshops (travel expenses\, materials\, food).\n\n  \nAPPLY until 25 January 2019 \nHERE!
