SUMMARY:International seminar on LGBTIQ+ volunteering
DESCRIPTION:This seminar will create space for participants working in the field of volunteering to connect\, share experiences\, and learn from one another.\nIt offers a space to explore both the challenges and opportunities that come with supporting LGBTIQ+ volunteers\, especially young people. Participants will have the chance to strengthen their skills\, improve the tools they use in their organisations\, and exchange ideas for inclusive volunteer practices.\nSeminar also encourages collaboration\, with time set aside to build new partnerships and develop initiatives—particularly around mentoring and coordinating volunteers from diverse backgrounds. \nLearning goals: \n\nParticipants will build connections with other participants working in the field of volunteering.\nParticipants will have the opportunity to identify and address challenges and opportunities that occur in their work with LGBTIQ volunteering.\nParticipants will strengthen their capacities and improve the quality of their mechanisms and tools they have on the organisational level to support the development of volunteering\nParticipants will be able to share their experiences and tools to organise volunteering and ensure support for (LGBTIQ+) volunteers with diverse backgrounds\, specifically with systems of mentoring and coordinating volunteers.\nParticipants will have space to build new connections and develop potential collaborations and volunteering initiatives with other organisations.\nParticipants will gain competences on inclusive volunteering\, with focus on LGBTIQ+ young people.\n\nThe seminar is for… \n\nLGBTIQ+ organisations who actively work and engage with (LGBTIQ+) volunteers;\nOther organisations who work with LGBTIQ+ volunteers and are committed to ensuring inclusive and safer space for them;\n(LGBTIQ+) organisations that have Quality Label and are engaged or wish to be more engaged in ESC programme to provide opportunities for LGBTIQ+ youth;\n(LGBTIQ+) organisations interested in getting more involved with ESC programme and acquiring Quality Label in the near future;\nOrganisations who would like to structurally develop LGBTIQ+ volunteering and would like to strengthen the quality of their volunteering programme;\nOrganisations who would like to develop or strengthen their volunteering programme through the European Solidarity Corps programme.\n\n  \nApply here: https://forms.gle/w42MRdX3vs32md2T8 \nFor more information please reach out to mateja@ljubljanapride.org.
