SUMMARY:Preperation for 8th March: Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Throughout February (and begining of March)\, Pride Connects events will be themed around finding the best activism for each and every one of us. 100 different people\, 100 different types of activism. If you are a person who would go to the street and riot\, a person who wants to deliver educational workshops with young people or who wishes to share their story through art: if you have the desire to change the world and demand change for a better tomorrow\, there is for sure a type of activism that will give the voice to your ideas. ? \nThis Tuesday we will revive our knowledge from the previous Pride Connects events and put it in practice! Our goal is to organise an activist intervention on 8th March to commemorate International Women’s Day. Last week we thought about what our message should be. This week we continue and make more concrete plans. We will talk about what exactly we can and want to do\, what are the limitations we have\, and who do we want to connect with. Join us to activate yourself in the company of other activists. \n?️ With ‘Pride Connects’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. \nWe know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.
