DESCRIPTION:Throughout February\, Pride Connects events will be themed around finding the best activism for each and every one of us. 100 different people\, 100 different types of activism. If you are a person who would go to the street and riot\, a person who wants to deliver educational workshops with young people or who wishes to share their story through art: if you have the desire to change the world and demand change for a better tomorrow\, there is for sure a type of activism that will give the voice to your ideas. ? \nThis tuesday we invite you to try yourself out in artivism. Artivism means art as activism and opposite. Haven’t tried using art as a communication medium before? You think art is not for you? You don’t believe that artworks can scream very loudly? Come and give our artivist guest Filip Vurnik a chance to prove you wrong. \nInspiration will also be provided by mini exhibition with artworks from our local artivists\,\nDaniel Arzola and Antonij Karadzorski. \n?️ With ‘Pride Connects’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. \nWe know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment. \n
