DESCRIPTION:Looking for volunteers!\nEuropean Solidarity Corps call\nDuration: 22 May – 20 June 2020\nLocation: Ljubljana\, Slovenia \nDestined to: LGBTIQ+ people (18-30 years old) with a strong interest in LGBTIQ+ organizations\, topics and politics (EU residents) \nDescription: Volunteers will be involved in the program of the Pride Parade Festival organised by Ljubljana Pride Association. Volunteers will be included in the steering team and will be able to experiment first-hand what it is like to be part of organising a Pride Festival and parade. \nAbout you: You’re sociable\, fluent in English\, and enjoy working in a team and are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone. \nTypical tasks of the volunteer include:\n– Technical and logistical support during & after each event\n– Hosting & logistical support towards guests and participants\n– Social media communication\n– Promotion of events and the Association\n– Making merchandise and helping to fundraise\n– Photo and video recording \nThe volunteers will gain competences in:\n– Group work\n– Working in an intercultural environment\n– Communication\, technical and logistical competences\n– Learning about project management (e.g.\, how to manage smaller one-day events like exhibitions\, workshops and parties) \nThe project includes:\n– Fully funded travel and accommodation\n– Covered food expenses and pocket money\n– Mentoring and Youthpass certificate \nHow to apply:\nSend us your CV and expression of interest in volunteering for us! \nDeadline: 15th of April 2020\nContact: evs@ljubljanapride.org
