DESCRIPTION:We invite you for a screening of the documentary She is Beautiful When She’s Angry\, a documentary about the women involved in the second wave feminist movement in the United States. \nAfter the screening\, we invite you to a discussion about feminism nowadays\, in the times of the 3rd feminist wave within the European context. How do we see reproductive rights and sexual violence in Europe today\, and how much has advanced since then? In which ways have the progress of reproductive rights and the fight against sexual violence been inclusive (or not) towards LGBTIQ+ people? And this is just the start! \nJoin us next Tuesday\, 29th of January at 19:00 at Ljubljana Pride office\, Dunajska 10. \nWith ‘PRIDE CONNECTS’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. We know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment. \n(The event will be held in English language)
