SUMMARY:Pride connects: Self-Care Zine-Making workshop
DESCRIPTION:Pride Connects is organising a zine-making workshop with the topic of self-care.\n\nTo register\, please send an email to asja@ljubljanapride.org.\n\nThis event will take place online via ZOOM.\n\nSelf-care does not always have to be about bubble-baths and scented candles; more often than not\, it’s about keeping promises to ourselves and learning how to say no.\nIn this workshop\, we will exchange some of our thoughts on and practices of self-care\, and use that conversation as a starting point for getting creative together. And since being creative and in community with each other can be a form of taking care of ourselves\, this will be a zine-making activity on self-care\, as self-care!\nBy the end of the event we will hopefully have learned some tips and tricks to help us through the gloomy winter days and the scariness of the world\, and have a tiny zine to show for it!\n\nThe event will be in English\, with a Slovene-speaker present for support if needed.\n\nWith ‘Pride Connects’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world.\n\nWe know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and existing in any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.
