SUMMARY:Preperation for 8th March: Part 2
DESCRIPTION:Throughout February (and beginning of March)\, Pride Connects events will be themed around finding the best activism for each and every one of us. 100 different people\, 100 different types of activism. If you are a person who would go to the street and riot\, a person who wants to deliver educational workshops with young people or who wishes to share their story through art: if you have the desire to change the world and demand change for a better tomorrow\, there is for sure a type of activism that will give the voice to your ideas. ? \nThe goal of this week’s Pride Connects is for activists and those interested in activism to collaborate and create flyers to support at least three protests in Slovenia and Berlin for the upcoming International Women’s Day. At the event we will write the content of the flyers\, support that content with artivism and plan the design. We welcome everyone to creatively express themselves\, making your own feminist propaganda for the Eighth of March! We’ll also link our actions to the bigger picture and more long term plans of the Pride Connects calendar. We’ll provide the materials and inspiration\, all you need to bring is yourself! \n?️ With ‘Pride Connects’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. \nWe know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.
