SUMMARY:Training for LGBTIQ+ Trainers
DESCRIPTION:Become an LGBTIQ+ Trainer!\nAre you a (young) LGBTIQ+ person who wants to become more confident in leading groups\, organising events\, and training others? Then this training is the perfect opportunity for you! \nWhy join?\nThe training is specifically designed for LGBTIQ+ individuals and offers you the chance to develop skills in training\, facilitation\, and organisation of those type of events. In a safe and supportive environment\, we will explore topics important for building trainer competencies and learn how to lead groups with confidence.\n📅 When: December 5 – 7\, 2024\n📍 Where: Ljubljana (exact location will be shared with selected participants)\n🕒 The training will take place approximately between 9 and 19h\, and you will receive the programme a week before the training. \nThe goal of the training is to equip you with the knowledge and tools to lead educational events\, workshops\, or facilitate important discussions in the future. \nWhat can you get?\n✨ Skills for leading workshops and groups.\n✨ Networking with other young people from the LGBTIQ+ community.\n✨ Personal development and confidence in group work.\n✨ Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in planning workshops and events.\n✨ Understanding the concepts of group dynamics and leading of groups.\n✨ Knowledge of how to be inclusive towards various marginalised groups\, especially LGBTIQ+ youth.\n✨ Practical experience in non-formal education that you can apply in your work. \nWho are we looking for?\nOur training is intended for LGBTIQ+ youth who are interested in training\, leading the groups\, or event organisation. Participants should already have some experience in these areas and look forward to enhancing their skills with theoretical knowledge and new competencies.\nWe especially encourage young people from various marginalised backgrounds to apply.\nThe training will be conducted in English. \nApplications are open until November 25th.
