SUMMARY:Re-BUILD International Training Seminar: LGBTIQ+ youth homelessness and mental health
DESCRIPTION:This September\, Ljubljana Pride will host an International Training Seminar on the topic of LGBTIQ+ youth homelessness and mental health! \nThe seminar will bring together 25 social workers\, youth workers\, psychologists\, mental health professionals\, shelter staff and volunteers from Slovenia\, France and Poland\, who come into contact with LGBTIQ+ youth who are experiencing homelessness and housing exclusion through their work.  \nThe programme will focus on international exchange\, training and capacity building\, offering participants opportunities to deepen their skills\, share best practices\, and explore topics related to their work with beneficiaries\, as well as staff and volunteer wellbeing. \nThis seminar is part of the wider project ‘Re-BUILD: Building Understanding and Inclusive Learning for the Development of mental health support’ in partnership with Foundation Le Refuge (FR) and Lambda Warszawa (PL).  \nThe project aims to strengthen LGBTIQ+ shelters across Europe by integrating mental health support for LGBTIQ+ young adults experiencing homelessness through training\, capacity building and awareness raising.  \nCo-funded by the European Union.

SUMMARY:LGBTIQ+ Tour on Housing Exclusion and Homelessness
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, 24 September\, we are organising a special edition of our LGBTIQ+ tour\, this time focusing on housing exclusion and homelessness. The tour will take place as part of an international seminar we are hosting in Ljubljana\, bringing together professionals from Poland\, France and Slovenia who work with and support LGBTIQ+ young people experiencing housing exclusion and/or homelessness. \nAs part of the tour\, we will once again visit key LGBTIQ+ spaces in Ljubljana\, but this time explore them through stories\, experiences and questions related to access to safe housing\, belonging to a community\, and survival at the margins of the housing system. \nFunded by the Municipality of Ljubljana. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:V četrti Špajzi\, ki bo potekala 25. septembra ob 17.30 v Pritličju\, gostimo Ireno Jovevo\,  evropsko poslanko\, ki deluje pod okriljem politične skupine Renew Europe\, v slovenskem kontekstu pa v stranki Gibanje Svoboda_._ Rojena je bila v Kranju\, odraščala pa v delavski družini na Jesenicah. Njeni starši so ekonomski migrantje\, ki so se že konec osemdesetih preselili iz Makedonije. Preden je Joveva začela svojo politično kariero\, je opravljala delo novinarke. \nJe politična figura\, ki vseskozi svojo kariero izkazuje podporo kvir skupnosti\, hkrati pa ima korenine iz države nekdanje Jugoslavije. Menimo\, da lahko zaradi tega vzpostavimo odprt dialog – preko katerega lahko izrazimo svoje dvome\, vprašanja in izzive\, s katerimi se soočamo – z nekom\, ki je na odločevalski funkciji in je za vse omenjene stvari tudi soodgovorna_en. Na Špajzi bomo tako odprle_i različne teme\, ki najbolj efektirajo našo skupnost. Dejstvo je\, da živimo v svetu\, kjer je naš obstoj pogojen z našo vidnostjo\, ta pa hkrati povzroča vedno več homofobije\, transfobije\, seksizma\, ksenofobije in rasizma. Hkrati je veliko kvir oseb velikokrat tarča spolnega\, fizičnega in psihičnega nasilja\, ki jih mnogokrat potisne tudi v stanovanjsko stisko. V luči novoizvoljene vlade se mlade_i soočamo z mnogimi negotovostmi na področju izobraževanja\, študentskega dela in enakosti. \nPridi 25.9. v Pritličje in povej svoje skrbi\, mnenje ter poskrbi\, da bo tvoj glas slišan! Zbirati se začnemo ob 17-ih\, da skupaj z vami dodamo še kakšno vprašanje\, gostja pa se nam pridruži ob 17.30. \nVse do 25.9. bomo zbirale_i tudi vaša vprašanja in predloge o tem\, kaj bi želele_i izvedeti od nekoga\, ki sedi v evropskem parlamentu! SUMMARY:Study Visit and Attendance at the ILGA-Europe Conference in Dublin
DESCRIPTION:Part of the team of Ljubljana Pride Association will take part in a study visit to Ireland from 5 to 11 October. During this time\, we will meet with several organisations: some of which we already collaborate with and would like to further strengthen this cooperation\, some with which we have collaborated in the past and would now like to renew our cooperation\, and some organisations that will be completely new to us. \nThis is particularly important to us\, as some of our publications and approaches\, which we have developed over the years\, have been strongly inspired by Irish experiences. This time\, in addition to youth organisations\, we will therefore focus on meetings with LGBTIQ+ organisations\, visits to youth groups and activities in the field\, as well as establishing and strengthening connections with key stakeholders working in the fields of LGBTIQ+ rights and youth work in Ireland. \nDuring the visit\, we will also attend the annual ILGA-Europe conference\, the largest conference of its kind\, which brings together more than 400 LGBTIQ+ activists every year. This year’s theme\, “Resist and Rise\,” feels particularly relevant to our visit\, as it invites us to reflect on how we can respond to the growing pressures on our movements while also building alliances\, sharing strategies and preparing for the future. \nActivity is funded by the European Union.
