sexual orientation, gender identity and\/or gender expression in schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OBJECTIVES<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To enable LGBTIQ+ organisations to carry out activities in school environments, with a focus on addressing peer violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To address peer violence based on sexual orientation and\/or gender identity in school environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To empower LGBTIQ+ organisations and schools to respond to pressures and resistance when carrying out activities addressing LGBTIQ+ topics in school environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">KEY ACTIVITIES<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Educational workshops and exhibitions for young people, teaching staff and parents at Gimnazija Ptuj.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training for young LGBTIQ+ people and trainers from the organisation&#8217;s pool in storytelling, addressing peer violence, delivering educational activities, advocacy and public speaking, and developing recommendations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study visits to Norway and Slovenia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establishing a network of schools in Slovenia that implement or are planning to implement LGBTIQ+ content.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An analysis of the situation and needs of schools in Slovenia regarding the prevention and addressing of peer violence in school environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presenting the shared needs and recommendations of schools and LGBTIQ+ organisations to the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport (MIZ\u0160).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHO IS IT FOR?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Young LGBTIQ+ people with intersecting identities who experience peer violence<\/strong><br>\u2192 They will be empowered to share their experiences through storytelling, participate in project activities in schools and advocate for their needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Young people (pupils and students), teaching staff and parents at Gimnazija Ptuj<\/strong><br>\u2192 They will gain greater awareness and be equipped with methods for addressing peer violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Schools and LGBTIQ+ organisations in Slovenia<\/strong><br>\u2192 Through a needs assessment, situation analysis and strategic guidelines for action, they will begin to address the challenges of responding to resistance against their work on LGBTIQ+ topics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/acfslovenia.si\/podprti-projekti\/preseganje-kulture-ponizevanja\/\">More information about the project<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three organisations are involved in the project: Dru\u0161tvo Parada ponosa as the lead applicant, and the LGBT organisation Kvir mladina from Norway and Gimnazija Ptuj from Slovenia as project partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project was funded by the EEA and Norway Grants 2014\u20132021, through the Active Citizens Fund in Slovenia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group
