Purpose:<\/h1>\n

<\/p>\n

The Purpose of the Ljubljana Pride Association is to contribute to the establishment of a society that will be non-discriminatory, inclusive and open to all individuals, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, sexual identity or any other personal circumstance. It was established with the aim of safeguard the human rights and interests of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) population. The association acts as a youth, voluntary, independent and non-profit civil society organization.<\/p>\n

Ljubljana Pride Festival:<\/h1>\n

<\/p>\n

The first Ljubljana Pride that was organized by the Ljubljana Pride Association was in 2009. Since then, it matured into an international cultural and political festival of LGBTIQ+ culture with a distinctly political note. It peaks with the annual Pride Parade, which concludes with the public presentation of the LGBTIQ+ community’s political demands to people in positions of power, institutions and the wider society. Its aim is to break the silence and the suppression of homosexuality, to occupy public space, to present the life and work of the LGBTIQ+ community, and to promote human rights, equal opportunities and freedom of choice.<\/p>\n

Representation of interests of LGBTIQ + youth and more:<\/h1>\n

<\/p>\n

As an association, Ljubljana Pride Association represents a marginalized social group of young LGBTIQ+ people, and articulates their needs in society. As the organizer of the annual Pride Parade, it also assumes the role of articulating the broader social interests and rights of the LGBTIQ + community in Slovenia. It is positioned as an organization that fights all forms of racism, discrimination, homophobia and other social formations based on subjugation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mobilization and volunteering:<\/h1>\n

<\/p>\n

Since its beginning, the association has been working exclusively with the help of volunteer work, so the management structure as the bearers of the whole program and activities are the volunteers. More than 100 young volunteers are involved in the Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

Namen:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Namen Dru\u0161tva Parada ponosa je prispevati k vzpostavitvi dru\u017ebe, ki bo nediskriminatorna, vklju\u010dujo\u010da in odprta do vseh posameznic_kov, ne glede na njihov spol, spolno usmerjenost, spolno identiteto ali katerokoli drugo osebno okoli\u0161\u010dino. Ustanovljeno je z namenom uresni\u010devanja \u010dlovekovih pravic in interesov lezbi\u010dne, gejevske, biseksualne, transspolne, interspolne in queer (v nadaljevanju LGBTIQ) populacije. Dru\u0161tvo deluje kot mladinska, prostovoljska, samostojna in nepridobitna organizacija civilne dru\u017ebe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Festival Parada ponosa:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Od leta 2009 organizira Parado ponosa v Ljubljani, katera se je v zadnjih letih razvila v kulturno-politi\u010dni festival mednarodnih razse\u017enosti. Festival Parada ponosa je festival LGBTIQ+ kulture z izrazito politi\u010dno noto. Zaklju\u010di se z vsakoletno Parado ponosa, ki je protestni pohod po Ljubljani. Zaklju\u010di se z javno predstavitvijo politi\u010dnih zahtev LGBTIQ+ skupnosti v Sloveniji v odnosu do nosilcev dru\u017ebene mo\u010di, institucij in \u0161ir\u0161e dru\u017ebe. Je javna manifestacija namenjena preboju molka, uporu proti potiskanju homoseksualnosti med \u0161tiri stene, namenjena je zasedbi javnega prostora, predstavitvi \u017eivljenja in dela LGBTIQ+ skupnosti, promociji \u010dlovekovih pravic, enakih mo\u017enosti in svobodi izbire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zastopanje interesov LGBTIQ+ mladih in \u0161ir\u0161e:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Kot organizacija, dru\u0161tvo zastopa marginalizirano dru\u017ebeno skupino - mlade LGBTIQ+ osebe, ter v dru\u017ebi artikulira njihove potrebe. Kot organizator vsakoletne Parade ponosa pa prevzema tudi vlogo artikuliranja \u0161ir\u0161ih dru\u017ebenih interesov in pravic LGBTIQ+ skupnosti v Sloveniji. Jasno se pozicionira kot organizacija, ki se bori proti vsem oblikam rasizma, diskriminacije, homofobije in drugim dru\u017ebenim manifestacijam temelje\u010dim na vzpostavljanu hierarhije med ljudmi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mobilizacija in prostovoljstvo:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Dru\u0161tvo \u017ee od svojega za\u010detka deluje in ustvarja izklju\u010dno s pomo\u010djo prostovoljnega dela, tako vodstvene strukture kot nosilci celotnega programa in aktivnosti so prostovoljke_ci. V \u010dasu delovanja dru\u0161tva se je \u0161tevilo udele\u017eencev na Paradi ponosa pove\u010dalo od nekaj 100, na 1500 v letu 2016; ter od dobrih 300 udele\u017eencev na spremljajo\u010dih dogodkih na ve\u010d kot 2000 na Festivalu Parada ponosa 2016.
