In the third part of the consultation, peer educators joined us, presenting various important topics through creative zines. We explored how to have difficult conversations, the importance of balance in life, the seven types of rest, ethical non-monogamy, and how to process emotions. These topics were delivered in an innovative and creative way, allowing young people to gain insight into different aspects of personal development and relationships. This dissemination event was part of the Rainbow Peer Forces project, which we are implementing in an international partnership with the LGBTIQ+ organization Saplinq from Slovakia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the creative session, we focused on presenting the work with peer educators, which is supported by a special mentorship scheme for peer educators from marginalized groups at the Ljubljana Pride Association. The mentorship scheme focuses on creating a supportive environment for marginalized youth. For youth workers, it was presented as a tool \u2013 an example of good practice on how to incorporate such mentorship processes to create even more inclusive organizations. Mateja, a colleague at the Ljubljana Pride Association, highlighted the key areas of support that are important when working with Peer Educators. This includes understanding the peer education process, establishing and maintaining interaction with young people, transferring knowledge to other areas of life, and the importance of personal judgment when sharing personal experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mentorship approach ensures that Peer Educators receive the necessary support and training, enabling them to work effectively and inclusively with young people on LGBTIQ+ topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
