In this upcoming discussion group, we wish to create space to take those conversations further and in the direction of practical tools for how to make our communities and movements more resilient.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\">In this discussion group we will look at some texts and videos by prominent thinkers on- and practitioners of transformative justice, and we will think together about how to implement some of their work within our own contexts. This will not be the two hours in which we solve all that is difficult within queer and activist communities &#8211; but it will hopefully offer us an introduction to some concepts and tools from transformative justice that we can take with us into our organising and our everyday lives.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\">It is not neccesary to have participated in the previous event in order to join this one.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\">The event will take place in English.<br \/>\n_____________________________________<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\">With \u2018Pride Connects\u2019, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth, activists, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world.<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\">\nWe know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and existing in any public space is a political act, and we know it is not easy &#8211; so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pride Connects is organising a discussion group on the topic of transformative justice on February 9th, 6-8pm.
