Filip Vurnik (1994) has been actively playing music and writing poetry for more than ten years. They are currently finishing their master’s studies at the Department of Fine Art Education, Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana. They taught themselves to play the guitar at the age of 16, then accompanied the youth choir Na_Vdih between 2013 and 2015 to practice. The first time they played their own songs was at their art exhibition Čudeži (Miracles) in Radovljica in 2013, while they held their first concert in the 2015 series of Kavarniški večeri. Since then, they have regularly been performing on similar events and on the LGBT scene. They describe their songs as realistic, reflecting their current feelings, pain, happiness, transgenderness, and love. Similar topics are also featured in their poetry and art.

The Oueer café evenings were created with the aim of opening a public space to LGBTQ+ artists in all fields of art and with the desire to create a new space for socializing, enjoying music, a cup of tea or coffee, laughter and good company at the initiative of the Appareo Association, Club Tiffany and Legebitra

The purpose of the project is to offer young artists a space in which they can shine with their talent and at the same time offer viewers content that is relaxed, high quality and ours. Every third Thursday of the month, Klub Tiffany transforms into an elegant café, which invites you to socialize, enjoy your favorite drink and indulge in an art program prepared by young people for visitors.

If you, as an LGBTQ + creator, find yourself in this description and would like to present yourself to a wider audience with your artistic work (of any kind), we invite you to contact us at katja.sesek@legebitra.si or kulturnicenterq@gmail.com and we can create a wonderful evening together.

The Queer café evening is organized by Legebitra and Club Tiffany (ŠKUC – Cultural Center Q).
