Have you ever thought about what gender expression means and how do you express yourself? Connected to the Transgender awareness week, this Pride Connects offers the opportunity to reflect on your gender expression. We will use different methodologies to reflect on our gender expression in the context of social norms. We will explore our feelings and desires about gender expression through conversation and through artistic expression. Through that you might find out how satisfied you are with your own gender expression and how much you adapt it to social norms.

The workshop will be facilitated by our new ESC volunteer Filip Vurnik who is also the co-author of the publication Rainbow in the pocket.

The workshop will be held in English.

Your workshop preparation and materials:

• bring     different objects that can be anything from sunglasses, earphones, to a candle, and a notebook;

• bring     materials you like to work with, like felt tip pens, pencils, plasticine.

This event is primarily aimed at transgender, non-binary and gender nonconforming young people and will take place at Ljubljana Pride’s office, Dunajska cesta 10, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenija.

At the event, we will take into account all preventive measures to contain the epidemic, such as wearing masks, disinfecting and washing hands and maintaining mutual distance. Event participants must meet the RVT (recovered / vaccinated / tested) requirement.
