Young LGBTIQ+ co-creators of Ljubljana Pride Festival
Ljubljana Pride Association is looking for 15 young LGBTIQ+ volunteers for a 1 month ESC (European Solidarity Corps) project!

PARTICIPANT PROFILE
You’re an LGBTIQ+ young person aged between 18 and 30 years old. You are a resident of the EU and you have a strong interest in LGBTIQ+ organisations, topics and politics. You’re sociable, fluent in English, enjoy working in a team and are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone. We are interested to hear why you would like to volunteer with us, with a focus on why you are applying to an LGBTIQ+-specific organisation.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
You will be involved in the co-creation of the programme of the Pride Parade Festival organised by Ljubljana Pride Association. This means you will be (physically) working together on the implementation of different activities and events, from exhibitions, round table discussion, workshops, concerts, conferences and of course, the annual Pride Parade! You’ll be working closely with our team and the other volunteers to ensure this year’s Festival runs smoothly by carrying out the following tasks:
Before the Festival: Preparing the logistics, setting up the spaces, technical elements, promoting the activities, visuals, assembling groups and making the plans.
Once the Festival starts: making sure all of the agreed things are happening
After the festival: cleaning and evaluation of your month with us.
The work will take place at the office as well as at different venues outside.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The project includes:
– Fully funded travel and accommodation;
– Covered food expenses and pocket money;
– Group mentoring and Youthpass certificate at the end of the activity.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
At the start of the volunteering, we will organise an all day on-arrival training for the whole group. On the training we will get to know each other a bit better, present the Festival programme and the team, agree how we want to work together, present the ESC programme and its elements – including the mentorship and the youth pass.
You can apply until 28th of February 2024 at evs@ljubljanapride.org by sending us a CV and motivation letter, although if we have enough candidates with adequate profile, we will close the call earlier.
After the application deadline we will organise interviews with the selected candidates.
