We’re Here! Taking Action Together

We’re Here! Taking Action Together is a structured dialogue project aimed at all LGBTIQ+ young people aged 16 to 30.

Structured dialogue is a tool that gives young people the opportunity to participate directly in dialogue with those responsible for youth policy, through participation in civil society and engagement in representative democracy.

Through participation in the structured dialogue process, we wanted to help young people develop the skills needed to formulate joint proposals for improvements and solutions to the problems they face, as well as the skills to present and advocate for their proposals to decision-makers. The project also contributes to building greater self-confidence and reducing feelings of social exclusion among LGBTIQ+ young people.

The project consists of:

• An online survey, which will provide insight into the real-life experiences of violence and discrimination among LGBTIQ+ young people in Slovenia. You can complete the survey HERE!
• Consultations with LGBTIQ+ young people, which will enable us to develop proposals for solutions and improvements.
• A meeting between LGBTIQ+ young people and decision-makers, where proposals for solutions will be presented to decision-makers with the aim of encouraging them to take action towards their implementation.
• Advocacy training, which will equip LGBTIQ+ young people with the skills to advocate for their own needs, interests and proposals in future processes.
