The extended team of the Ljubljana Pride Association will pack some rainbows in their backpacks and roadtrip to Slovenj Gradec for the Koroška Pride Parade. We will spend the day at the stall and end it marching at the third Koroška Pride. At the stand, as always, you will have the chance to supply yourself with rainbow accessories and chat with our team. This year, the stand will also function as a special cultural laboratory of freedom of expression.

The visibility and freedom of expression of LGBTIQ+ people are often accompanied by rainbow flags, pins calling for equality, socks hinting at who we are, and countless political stickers on our laptops. But the real freedom of expression lies within acts and expressions, such as holding hands, claiming radical otherness and any other clear and loud scream for freedom and equality. The Pride Parade is a place where we can be who we are, together. Yet as pride month comes to an end, our freedom of expression is closeted again. The rainbows are put away and society demands silence from us for the rest of the year. Through creative socialising, we will answer the question of whether the freedom of expression of LGBTIQ+ people is limited to Pride month and how we can overcome that. How can the newly elected political establishment affect our freedom and security, and how can we hold them accountable?
