Youth work against precariousness on the labour market.
In June 2024, Ljubljana Pride started the project ‘Youth work against precariousness on the labour market.’
As part of the project, we will hold workshops between 2024 and 2026 to raise awareness of precariousness, inform about the labour market and empower LGBTIQ+ people when entering the labour market. Topics will include, but are not limited to:
- How to identify precarious jobs,
- Labour rights, duties and where to find information in ZDR-1,
- How to recognize discriminatory practices, draw attention to them and prevent them,
- How to write a CV and prepare for an interview,
- How to be self-employed; open your small business, pay contributions and taxation.
In addition to the workshops, in 2025 and 2026 we will offer individual counselling to those who need help looking for a job, checking payslips and applying to the Social Security Administration. Within this we especially want to offer help to LGBTIQ+ people who are facing minority stress, people experiencing homelessness, asylum seekers and people with mental health issues. You are all invited to contact us if you have questions or need help regarding precariousness and the labour market.
If you need individual counselling or have any questions regarding the project you can contact Nika Pongrac, head of the pilot project ‘Youth work against precariousness on the labour market’.
