Previously on Pride Connects…
Last week at our PRIDE CONNECTS: “Why Are Queer People So Mean To Each Other?” Reading & Discussion Group, we talked about the ways in which our communities could be improved in terms of how we deal with disagreements, misunderstandings and conflicts. In this upcoming discussion group, we wish to create space to take those conversations further and in the direction of practical tools for how to make our communities and movements more resilient.
In this discussion group we will look at some texts and videos by prominent thinkers on- and practitioners of transformative justice, and we will think together about how to implement some of their work within our own contexts. This will not be the two hours in which we solve all that is difficult within queer and activist communities – but it will hopefully offer us an introduction to some concepts and tools from transformative justice that we can take with us into our organising and our everyday lives.
It is not neccesary to have participated in the previous event in order to join this one.
The event will take place in English.

With ‘Pride Connects’, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth, activists, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world.
We know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and existing in any public space is a political act, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.
