You are invited to a half-day conference Youth in the European Parliament on Wednesday, 13th March 2024, at House of the European Union from 9 am to 4 pm.

This event is organised in the framework of the Rainbow Europe project and is aimed at discovering more about the operation of the European Parliament and the political groups that represent us in it. We will carry out a simulation of the European Parliament’s response to a crisis situation, which we will present at the event.

Schedule:

• 9.00: arrival and coffee
• 9.30: opening remarks and keynote presentation on the role of the European Parliament
• 10.35: coffee break
• 10.50: introduction to the simulation, team formation and instructions
• 11.15: Crisis response planning (participants work in their assigned teams and roles)
• 12.15: lunch break
• 13.00: preparation of the statement
• 13.30: Parliament session – presentation of positions 1-4 (teams present their proposed solutions)
• 14.00: break
• 14.15: Parliament session – presentation of positions 5-8
• 14.45: reflection and summary
• 15.45: final evaluation of the event and conclusion
