Trainer
description
:

I have been actively involved in training since 2004. At first I was leading workshops and short mentorings for activists; however, soon, I dived into the pedagogic of informal education, which pulled my interest so far that I actually lived the next 10 years only from training and facilitations. I was active on an international level, worked in the area of youth work, youth politics, intercontinental youth collaboration (Africa-Europe, Europe-Arabic countries), and worked a lot for international institutions (European Commission, the Council of Europe, etc.).

In the past, I was a member of the pool of trainers of the European Youth Forum and the Youth Council of Slovenia. Currently, I am an active member of the pool of trainers of Slovene National Agency MOVIT – Institute for the development of youth mobiity.

Fields and topics that I have mostly been focused on are:

  • educational for human rights and global education with a focus on antiracism and the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ youth,
  • facilitation of youth policy creation processes,
  • strategic development of organisations, inclusive organisations and safe space,
  • development of youth work and processes such as the European Youth Work Agenda,
  • trainings for trainers, civil servants and experts.

At the moment, I mostly focus on:

  • addressing hate speech,
  • intersectionality,
  • addressing racism and intersectional discrimination,
  • strategic development of organisations for more inclusive practices,
  • developing training for youth workers and other professionals who work with youth,
  • topics related to LGBTIQ+ identities and other marginalised groups.
