PURPOSE


Empowering and supporting LGBTIQ+ (youth) and organisations in Slovenia to develop inclusive and professional volunteering.

GOALS

1. Promotion of LGBTIQ+ volunteering

Promotion of LGBTIQ+ volunteering in Slovenia.

2. Empowering volunteering organisations

Empowering organisations as learning organisations and mentorship support for in-depth and individualized learning experience and personal growth of volunteer through volunteer work.

3. Increasing the quality of volunteering

Increase the quality of implementation of coordination and mentorship of volunteering in (youth) organisations.

KEY ACTIVITIES

FIELD WORKSHOPS

On-field promotional (youth) workshops on the topic of LGBTIQ+ volunteering.

ESC VOLUNTEERING

Short- and long-term ESC volunteering. More about it here.

WORKSHOPS FOR MENTORS

 Workshops for mentors and coordinators of volunteers in (youth) organisations.

PROVIDING SUPPORT

Providing support to the other (youth) organisations in relation to inclusion of LGBTIQ+ volunteers. More about mentorship here.

PROMOTION

Creation of different promotional materials for promotion of volunteering. See examples of promotional materials here.

EFFECTS

1. INCREASED PUBLIC AWARENESS

Widespread awareness of the importance of volunteering within the LGBTIQ+ community in Slovenia.

2. EMPOWERMENT OF (LGBTIQ +) YOUNG PEOPLE

Empowering LGBTIQ + young people for active participation in society through volunteer work.

3. STRENGTHENING NGO DEVELOPMENT

Strengthening the development of the wider non-governmental sector.

Send an email to info@ljubljanapride.org with the subject line »Volunteering« and a brief introduction of yourself and how you would like to help. You can join through European Solidarity Corps, as Ljubljana Pride Festival volunteer or as a volunteer at other Ljubljana Pride’s activities.
